Dr. Handa Compensation and Memorial Fund for Victims of the Khmer Rouge

By giving to The University of Cambodia, you become part of a larger community of people committed to the development of tomorrow’s leaders in Cambodia and the world.  UC’s high standards and insistence on following internationally recognized curriculum mean unique challenges in Cambodia.  The University is really the first of its kind in the country.

Your contribution, whether it be to student scholarships, a research project or wherever the opportunity is greatest, does make a difference—within the University and in the reform and growth of the education system in Cambodia as a whole.

You can make a contribution in a number of ways to the University.  Choose a gift type below to learn more:

• General contributions (unrestricted)

• Contributions to a specific program or project

• The University of Cambodia Endowment Fund

• Gifts-in-kind

For any questions about making a gift to The University of Cambodia, feel free to contact our fundraising department at gifts@uc.edu.kh.

Ways to Give

General Contributions

A general contribution to UC means that your gift is used where the need or opportunity is greatest.  General or “unrestricted” gifts are some of our most important as they are often used to fund certain programs or projects that are either under-funded or are currently not being offered by any university.

For more information on giving a general contribution, please contact our fundraising department at gifts@uc.edu.kh.

Gifts to specific programs

UC welcomes gifts for specific purposes within the University.  Some givers have chosen to fund scholarships for poor students or women, making a higher education possible for those who otherwise might not be able to attend.  Others have chosen schools within the University that they wanted to support, or special projects, research or events that they felt most interested in.

Explore our website to learn more about our Colleges, Institutes, Centers, programs, lectures and publications. Or, to speak with someone to help you in finding an area to make your gift, or for any other questions, contact us at gifts@uc.edu.kh.

Naming possibilities are an option with major gifts.  If you are interested in having a significant name expressed in the naming of a College, Institute or University facility in perpetuity, feel free to contact us at gifts@uc.edu.kh.

The University of Cambodia Endowment

The University of Cambodia Endowment Fund was formed to support long-term University development.  Gifts to the Endowment go into a permanent fund as a means of savings and investment for the University to benefit future growth and development of its expertise, offerings and facilities.

Cambodia has endured mass devastation and a major loss of its intelligentsia, so long-term investments in “human capital” through avenues like the Endowment are essential.

Gifts-in-kind

The University of Cambodia is looking for books and journals for its growing library (currently the most extensive in Cambodia), as well as other types of gifts-in-kind.  Possible gifts could include computers, software, access to online databases and journals, seconding staff, volunteers or materials and equipment for science labs.

Please contact us with questions you have about these types of gifts at gifts@uc.edu.kh.
